They utilize a mechanical blade within the container to compact the waste to maximize the amount of materials that can be loaded into the container. Compactors are a deterrent to stealing as the unit are self contained, water tight and lockable. They improve the sanitary asthetics is your property as these units discourages rodents. These containers must have access to electrical power from which to operate the mechanical blade.
